Hydro jetting is a blockage-busting technique that removes clogs, debris, scale, and grease from drain pipes with a high-pressure stream of water. But how is it different from, or better than, drain snaking? And how will you know when you need it? While drain snaking removes blockages, such as hairballs and food gunk, from the middle of the pipe, the pressure from hydro jetting scours the walls of the pipe, too. It’s more intense and decreases the likelihood of future backups. If you experience regular drain blockages, a strange smell, or experience slow-running drains on the regular, it’s probably time to consider hydrojetting.
