Bulbs burning out faster than you’d like? Try these tips before you buy in bulk.
If a lightbulb in one of your lamps or ceiling lights seems to be running out of juice regularly, it may be time to check the holder. If the holder is loose, frequently experiences vibrations (e.g., from a ceiling fan), or doesn’t have proper air circulation (like in recessed ceiling lights), your bulb may burn out sooner than it should. You should also test the voltage in your home. If your light is getting too high a voltage, this may cause a lower wattage bulb to burn out. You can also try switching from CFL bulbs to LED bulbs, which may last longer and withstand frequent on/off switches.
